What's in a blog?

The antiques industry is really a community. No one understands that better than the producers of The Original Miami Beach Antique Show. Many of our dealers have participated in the show for decades, many have professional relationships with other dealers around the world, many buy and sell from one another all year round...and those relationships, more than anything drove our decision to start a blog for our friends and customers in the antique community.

We want to build and maintain an interactive forum where dealers and collectors keep in touch with one another on topics that matter most to them. We put a lot of thought into the categories of subjects such as Antique Show Business, which was meant as an opportunity for our attendees and dealers to communicate in an easy non-formal setting, how we could improve or assist in addressing challenges related to participating in our show. Another category, Tips and Ideas To Promote Sales In The Antique Industry would be a helpful place for our dealers to discuss what has worked and what hasn't. They are all still good ideas, but we're already expanding...enter Will Seippel.

As the founder of Worthpoint.com, a website devoted to sharing the most accurate pricing data, from all over the world, on the value of antiques. Will is an avid collector and is passionate about the antiques industry. Like us, he believes that dealers, buyers and collectors represent a community, not just an industry. We're very excited that Will has agreed to help us expand our blog topics and to provide helpful information to collectors about resources available to them as well as provide guidance on some of the more daunting topics related to collecting antiques. Please take the time to visit our blog and let us know what you'd be most interested in reading about...we'll make it happen.
